And by vacation, I mean putting Lucy into as many lessons and camps as time/money can afford. Let's get caught up on some early highlights:
Swim Time
Swimming lessons have gone better this summer for Lu (see last year's entry). She's got bubbles, ice cream scoops, back floats, and jumps down cold. Most importantly she's allowed the instructors to touch her, which was the big impediment to progress last year.

Ella enjoys swim lessons as well. Most of her time is spent trying to get as close to the water as possible, which I suppose is promising for her lessons in the future.
Lu did pass her tadpole class and will now be a minnow! She was pretty jacked about it.
Beer Fest
We ventured out to the Washington State Beer Festival at Marymoor Park in June. It's a remarkably kid-friendly environment - Lucy probably had more fun than her parents, which is notable given the primary feature of the event was beer.
Zooper
Lucy took in another week at Zoo Camp. After her first day we asked her what she learned at the zoo. Her response was: "I learned that my legs get tired and I like snack time." Money well spent.

| Lucy reacts to her father picking her up instead of her mother, as we had previously discussed. Tears followed. |
Backyard Fun
Nothing like letting the kiddos run around in a fully fenced, decently shaded back yard. Ella's favorite thing to do is splash in the water table. Lucy's favorite thing to do is complain about getting wet, then going inside to change. They make a great team.

The Bubble Blaster has been a great investment. I can't believe I grew up blowing bubbles manually.
